Selecting an Ultimate Guitar page copies the song and everything around it, and some browsers hand it over one word per line. The converter reassembles that, drops the page furniture, and runs what is left through the same parser Fretlist uses on import, so chord lines are read as chords rather than lyrics.

Each chord moves into the line at the column it was standing on, which is often mid-word. That is what ChordPro is for: the sheet reflows at any width instead of depending on a fixed-width font to hold its columns.

Questions

Do I need an account?

No. The conversion runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, and you can copy the result or download a .cho file without signing up for anything.

Does it work with tab, not just chords?

Tablature is kept as it is. ChordPro has no way to describe a tab stave, so moving it into brackets would destroy it. It stays as the lines you pasted.

My paste came out as one word per line. Is that a problem?

No. That is the normal result of selecting a whole page in some browsers, and the converter reassembles it before doing anything else.

What if the page has no key or capo listed?

Then those directives are left out rather than guessed. A field that is not on the page is not invented.

Can I convert a whole library at once?

Not here, this is a one-song tool. For a folder of files there is bulk import in the app, which takes text files, ZIPs and backups from other apps.
