Nine months ago I posted "I built a thing for musicians" and 35 people signed up overnight. Today there are over 500 of you, and on 1 November Fretlist gets a price.
Before anything else, the sentence I've been promising since April.
You keep what you have. Every song, every setlist, every note. Nothing gets hidden, locked or taken away, whatever plan you're on. A plan only ever limits how much more you can add.
The plans
Free. 50 songs, 3 setlists, every feature. Offline, Play Mode, chord diagrams, print, export, all of it. Not a demo. The real app with a smaller shelf.
Pro. Unlimited songs and setlists. €24 a year, or €3 a month. That's €2 a month for the whole thing.
Bands. One shared library for the whole band. You set up the songs and setlists, every member sees them on their own device with their own capo, instrument and notes on top. €58 a year for the whole band, up to 15 members, and members pay nothing. Your own Pro is included. Each extra band you lead is half price.

If you signed up before 1 November
You were here during Early Access, and I said early users would get a fair deal. Here it is: half price on any plan, for as long as you use Fretlist. Pro at €12 a year. Bands at €29. Upgrade any time between 1 November and 1 December and that rate is yours for good, including bands you start later.
After 1 December the offer closes and the price is the price.
Early Birds: your Pro stays free, as promised. Bands is half price for you too.
If you're over 50 songs today
Nothing changes on 1 November. You keep the lot. You'll only meet the paywall the day you go to add song 51, and by then you'll know whether Fretlist has earned it.
Why a subscription
A few of you asked me this in April, and it deserves a straight answer. A one-off fee means building on money that was spent years ago. That's how apps stop getting updates, stop answering emails, and slowly stop working when the operating system moves on.
I want to still be building this in five years. Every fix I've shipped since you signed up, every reply within a day, every feature that came out of a bug report, came from having the time to do it. A small yearly fee from the people who use Fretlist the most is what keeps that going.
And it's small on purpose. €2 a month for Pro. Less than €5 a month for a whole band. And every plan has every feature.
What stays true
- Every plan has every feature. Free is not a crippled version.
- Your data is always yours. Export everything, any format, any time.
- No lock-in. If Fretlist stops being right for you, you take it all with you.
- Nothing you already have is ever hidden or removed.
